  What are the Installation Parameters ?
• Each Builder Will Have Their Own Preference but, These Kits Assume Approx. 3.5" Spacing Between Fasteners. Much wider spacing can be used with reinforcement strips.
• Distance From the Edge of the Cowling to the Center of the Fastener Hole Requires 5/8" Min.
• The Support Lip Width Should be a Minimum of 1-1/8" (preferably 1-1/2").
• The Minimum Thickness for the Support Lip is .040"
• Bulging Between Fastener Holes is not a Concern With These Kits When Used on Newer Generation Cowlings but, for Earlier Cowls Try our MilSpec MS2D Reinforcement Material. This is a simple strip of woven fiberglass tape that can be laid up adjacent to the fastener line to stiffen the cowling along its edge.
